Country Running Music For Your Running Playlist

This week, I’m posting some country running songs for your running playlist as part of my running playlist by genre series.

As you may know if you’ve been following this site for a while, I’m a big fan of country music and it’s usually featured in my personal running playlists.

In this week’s running playlist I tried to include a good mix of new, old, famous and unknown country songs. I also tried to include some free country songs if you get them on Amazon.com (The amazon.com free music list changes often, so the music here may not be free anymore if they change it but it’s worth checking out)

This country music running playlist is 40 minutes long and averages out at 132 BPM.

Rock Running Music For Your Running Playlist

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to post running music for your running playlists by genre, and this week, I’m starting with rock!

Rock is an easy pick for running playlists, most of rock music is energizing and upbeat so it’s great for a power boost during a run.

I tried to keep this week’s list pretty diverse with some older rock, some new rock, and some rock music you may not be familiar with along with popular music.

I’ve also included some free music if you get your music from Amazon.com (The free music list on Amazon.com changes all the time, so no guarantees that it will still be free when you try it, but it’s worth checking).

This running playlist is almost 40 minutes long and averages at 134 BPM.

Post CMA Awards iTunes top 10 BPM analysis: Running Playlist 2011-10-11

For those of you following running playlist for a while, you should know by now why I’m super happy!

Last night, I happened to stumble onto the CMA awards. I say “stumble” because I usually don’t like award shows (e.g. the gimmicky MTV awards show) and I prefer not to hear “I’d like to thank my producer” speeches a million times. But there was nothing on TV last night (I stopped watching x-factor) so I ended up on the CMA awards.

I was absolutely blown away by the show! They really kept the speeches to a minimum and the quality of the music was incredible!

I guess after watching all those “Idol” type shows, my expectations were really low for music on TV, but watching the CMAs opened my eyes and ears to what it should be like. Not surprising, the only performances that weren’t 100% perfect were Carrie underwood and Scotty McCreery, both from American Idol.

I really loved the Taylor Swift performance, The Band Perry, and the Sugarland Duet! Highly recommend watching this again if you have the time.

So today, obviously, I checked the iTunes top 10 and who was there? My favorite, Taylor Swift! with 3 new songs! (“Ours” is my favorite so far…:)

10K Running Playlist at 170 BPM

Continuing the series of 10k running playlists organized by BPM, we now arrive at the 170 BPM zone running playlist.
These songs are very fast, and can leave you out of breath if you’re not ready for them, so please be careful. They’re really great for a fast run workout or for a 10k run PR.

This running playlist is 1:06 hours long and averages out at 175 BPM.

iTunes top 10 BPM analysis: Running Playlist 2011-19-10

Welcome back to a new iTunes top 10 review on running playlist.

Since I haven’t done these for a while, most of the songs on this list are new.

Justin Bieber has a new Christmas song out this week, which seems like it’s slightly early for that kind of music, but I guess those 12 year old girls need their “bieber fix” so there you have it.

We also have a really bad song by drake at number 2, maybe it’s just me, but I really don’t like it.

The rest of the list is pretty much what you’d expect from listening to the radio for an hour or so, sans the lady gaga and Katy Perry for a change.

As usual, I’ve bolded the songs that would make a good addition to a bpm based running playlist.

What Kind of Music Gets You Going? A Running Playlist for Inspiration

Music is a very powerful source for inspiration while running. It can help get you past challenges, help you go faster and help push you to new levels of performance. So the running playlist this week is going to be a little bit different. Instead of me talking about what music I want to share, I would like to hear from you.

I’d love to hear from you what songs you like to run with, what lyrics inspire you, and any stories that you’d like to share about your experience with music and running.

10K Running Playlist at 150 BPM

It’s Thursday again and it’s time for another high BPM running playlist to get you going for the weekend. This week, it’s a 150 BPM running playlist.

For some reason, this playlist ended up filling up with rock music from the 80′s and early 90′s, I’m not sure why, but I guess the 150 BPM range was popular back then (or maybe I just have a lot of songs from that era… :) I also managed to squeeze in not one but two(!) songs from the Top Gun soundtrack, so how about that!

This playlist is 1:13 minutes long, and averages at 154 BPM. It’s starting to get faster, so be careful and don’t overheat when you run this summer.
