How to get free songs and mp3 downloads legally for your running playlist

How would you like to get hundreds of free mp3 songs, legally and without having to pay any monthly fee? I’m not talking about streaming from the web, I’m talking about actually downloading these songs for your personal use for free.

I’m not talking about some backwoods bands that no one’s ever heard of either, I’m talking about bands and artists like John Legend, Beyoncé, Death Cab For Cutie, Alice Cooper and many others (there are also less familiar artists and bands there of course…)

I’ve counted over 2000 free songs available for download.

So where do you find these?

1. Amazon.com
Amazon has been doing a great job promoting its music download service and has become a strong contender to iTunes.
To get free music from amazon go to http://amzn.to/d03NlI

2. Mp3.com has a huge collection of non-mainstream artists. They offer a large number of songs at http://www.mp3.com/free-music/free-mp3s
You won’t find Beyoncé there, but there are a lot of other songs worth listening to that you can download for free.

3. Last.fm is another great place to get more free music.

4. You can also follow @joggingplaylist on Twitter and get a daily update of free songs and their BPM if they are good for a running playlist
