The Running Playlist App is FREE!!! (For a limited time only)
Posted by Sam in App of the week, iTunes top 10, playlist, Running Playlist on May 7, 2011
In the spirit of sharing free stuff and to show my thanks to all the loyal readers of this site who keep coming back for running playlists every week, I decided to share the running playlist iphone app with the world for free for a limited time.
So for this weekend only (until Monday morning), the running playlist iphone app is absolutely free on iTunes.
I highly recommend you get it now and also tell as many people as you can about it as soon as possible, because on Monday, the price goes back up again.
I also can’t say much about it due to confidentiality and such, but there are some really cool features coming to the app very soon and if you get it now (did I mention it’s free?
) you’ll be eligible for those features when the update comes out (the timing really depends on Apple’s process, so I hope it’ll be soon….).
Anyway, I’ll keep this one short and sweet – the running playlist iphone app for free for this weekend only, get it now and tell as many people as possible to get it for free before the price goes back up again.
UPDATE: Apparently, some of you contacted me saying that you missed this promotion since you don’t go online on weekends. Based on these comments I’m extending the promotion until Wednesday, so you have today and Tuesday to still get it for free.
UPDATE 2: I’m going to be testing some new pricing options, so make sure to get this app when it’s free before the prices go up again!
Rock Running Music For Your Running Playlist
Posted by Sam in Music, Rock, Running Playlist on January 23, 2012
Over the next few weeks, I’m going to post running music for your running playlists by genre, and this week, I’m starting with rock!
Rock is an easy pick for running playlists, most of rock music is energizing and upbeat so it’s great for a power boost during a run.
I tried to keep this week’s list pretty diverse with some older rock, some new rock, and some rock music you may not be familiar with along with popular music.
I’ve also included some free music if you get your music from Amazon.com (The free music list on Amazon.com changes all the time, so no guarantees that it will still be free when you try it, but it’s worth checking).
This running playlist is almost 40 minutes long and averages at 134 BPM.
And now, here’s the list, I would love to hear your feedback on this, so please comment, or contact me on facebook or twitter.
I’d also appreciate it if you “like” this post on Facebook or “+1″ it if you are on Google+.

A New Year, A New Running Playlist – 2011′s Top 10 Songs
Posted by Sam in Holiday, Playlist of the week, Running Playlist on January 12, 2012
The holidays are over and it’s time to get back into the cadence of the day to day with some new running playlists for the new year. I can’t believe the running playlist site is going into its third year, but here we are! The numbers are finally in, and these are the songs that were most popular on this site during 2011. Surprisingly, not too many “top of the chart” pop songs appeared on this list and we still have some strong oldies and goodies.
So here’s to another great year of great running and great music!
And now, here’s the list, I would love to hear your feedback on this, so please comment, or contact me on facebook or twitter, or +1 me if you’r on google+.
